An oral and maxillofacial surgeon is a dental specialist trained in surgery of the mouth, teeth, jaws and face, including wisdom teeth, dental implants, bone grafting, jaw injuries, cysts and TMJ disorders. In Korea, this is a board-certified specialty recognized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
